A compilation of Javanese correspondence on regulations, permissions, appointments and protocol at the main Yogyakartan court (Hadiningrat). Among the instructions are rules on the placement which needed to be respected by courtiers who attended ceremonies at the audience (Pagelaran) and rehearsal (Gladi Resik) hall at court, as is illustrated by maps. The bundle belonged to Bandoro Pangeran Harjo Puruboyo, who was a captain at the general staff of the colonial Dutch army (KNIL) and the head of the court administration (Pangageng Kawedanan Parentah Loehoer Karaton). His courtly staff members are mentioned on page 297 and 301.
