This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript from Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. The period of this manuscript is unknown but it is estimated to be from the period between 1701-1799.The first and last pages of this palm-leaf manuscript are missing. From the remaining pages it is possible to ascertain that this is Irattiṉa cēkaram, an astrological text. The letters are very clear. The author and date cannot be ascertained. It contains details related to weekly and monthly horoscopes, auspicious times, diffrent forms of astrological charts usually in the forms of Chakras, astrological practice using the betel leaf etc. It consists of many symbols and images.
