This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript from Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. The period, author of this manuscript is unknown but it is estimated to be from the period between 1801-1899. This manuscript is about magical practices. This book contains mantras related to rituals. The manuscript contains detailed description of practice used to drive away spirits from the body, make contact with spirits, curse removal, water based ritual practices etc. It also includes magical symbols and letters.The content details dark magic practices and the art of exorcism and evoking paranormal powers. It also contains the list of names of the deity called ' Vataṉamār'. It contains 70 pages. A major part of this manuscript is severely damaged and deteriorated. The protective cover is not available.
