This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript titled ‘Vacantaṉ kūttu’ from Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. This manuscript is written by Viḷaṅkippōṭi son of Vīmāppōṭi from Batticaloa on 01 February 1935. Vacantaṉ kūttu is completely different from other types of kūttus. This manuscript expresses Agricultural matters and this Kuttu is perfomed after the harvest by 8 – 12 persons. It also has subtitles such as Muttamiḻ vacantaṉ, kuyil vacantaṉ, kuṟatti vacantaṉ, vēḷāṇmai veṭṭu vacantaṉ, Piḷḷaiyār vacantaṉ, apaya vacantaṉ,cavaṇikka vacantaṉ (cavaṇikka is an old musical instrument of Tamils) ,Vēḷāṇmai veṭṭu vacantaṉ, Intiracittu vacantaṉ, Aṉumāṉ vacantaṉ, Mucuṟṟu vacantaṉ, Kuṟatti vacantan, ūñcal vacantaṉ, Kūvākkuyil vacantaṉ, Kiṟuku vacantaṉ, Kum'mi vacantaṉ, Aṟukampū vacantaṉ, Pallakku vacantaṉ are some of the types of Vacantaṉ kūttu.
