This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript titled ‘Tarumaputtiraṉ nāṭakam’ from Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. A major part of this manuscript is severely damaged and deteriorated, rendering the text illegible, thus it is difficult to determine the exact age, author and place of the original manuscript. However, it is estimated to be from 1701-1799. It tells the story of Tarumar, the eldest of the Pandavas of Bharatha. It also contains Maṅkaḷaccintu, kaṭṭiyaṉ tōṟṟam, turiyōtaṉaṉ tōṟṟam, tirutarāṭṭitaṉ viruttam, tūriyaṉ viruttam, kaṇṇaṉ viruttam, turiyōtaṉaṉ taru, tuṭcātaṉ taru, kaṇṇaṉ taru, cakuṉi taru, vitūṉ taru, tarumar tōṟṟam, vīmaṉ viruttam, nakulaṉ viruttam Only 80 pages are found in this manuscript and the rest of the pages are missing. The protective cover is not available. The letters of this manuscript is clear to read. The manuscript is damaged and in deteriorated state. Extent: 80.0.
