This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript titled ‘ Periya Vaḷḷiyam'māṇai’ from Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. Major part of this manuscript is damaged and deteriorated rendering the text illegible, thus it is difficult to determine the exact age, author and place of the original manuscript. However, it is estimated to be from 1801-1899. ‘Vaḷḷiyam'mmāṇai’ is about songs that describes the birth and marriage of Lord Muruga with Valli. The songs are written in am'māṇai mettu. This is Mūṉṟu kuttu manuscript. It has three songs I one page. Since this manuscript has more than two handwritings it is estimated to be written by different people at different times.
