This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript tilted ” Parikāra vākaṭam” from Northern Province, Sri Lanka.This manuscript is partially damaged and deteriorated, rendering the text illegible thus, it is difficult to determine the author, title and exact age of the manuscript. However it is estimated to be from 1900-1950. This manuscript is related to medicine. It contains the detailed descriptions of various medicines for many diseases like diabetes, Jaundice, delirium, rheumatism, piles. It mentions about the medicinal powders, balms, pills, medicinal patches and medicinal water. The pages are numbered but letters are not clear. The protective cover made up of palmyrah.
