This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript from Kondavil, Sri Lanka. It is written in Tamil verse in the period of 1800-1850 in Tamil script. The original text is written by Parañcōti Muṉivar and is one of the ancient Hindu puranas/ mythological stories centred around Madurai. The orginial text is from the 16th century and is divided into three major sections and consists of 64 stories. This particular manuscript provides a commentary to the original text.
