This material is a palm-leaf manuscript from Kondavil, Sri Lanka. It is written in Tamil verse in the period of 1800-1850 in Tamil script. Its contents are with regards to medicine. It is an elaborate guide to various salt based - pūnīṟu, calcinated medicine -cuṇṇam, paṟpam, centūram preparations including those from different kinds of pyrites - miḷai. It addresses the branch of Siddha medicine that addresses pediatric illnesses - ciṟupiḷḷai vākaṭam, their cause, astrological connections and related medicines and cures. Pediatric illnesses related to the digestive system, nervous system as well as fevers and specific illnesses such as jaundice etc. are incuded. Also, bone related injuries, aches and the requisite medicine are also discussed. The medicines described come in the form of powders, oils and pills - kuḷikai.
