A tightly bound book with a red cloth cover. Pages of modern paper bound together. 24 x 12 opening up to approx 42 x 12. A book of songs. Handwritten in both "headless " Tibetan dbu med (Ume) script and "headed " Tibetan dbu mchen (Uchen) script, 30-40 years ago. The texts are transcriptions, sometimes from memory, of the songs the owner heard sung in Gyu. Many pages clearly missing. These are mainly Stone songs (Tib. མཐོ་གླུ་ Wylie. mtho glu).
Extent: One book consisting of 39 folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 24 cm x 12 cm.
Condition of original material: Cover damaged. First pages missing and many pages are clearly missing at the end. Written in blue and black ink, some of which has faded, though is still legible throughout. Some staining and discolouration.
Arrangement: A collection of texts kept in a box within the prayer room of the owner. The text was created in India (Spiti).
