དཔེ་ཆ

An untitled handwritten Tibetan text (pecha) on old handmade paper. Handwritten in "headless " Tibetan dbu med (Ume) script. A long text with no cover. 36 x 11 opening up to approx 36 x 22cm. Incompete. A book of stone songs Tho lu (tib. མཐོ་གླུ་ wylie. mtho glu) or (tib. ཐོ་གླུ་ wylie tho glu).

Extent: One book consisting of 12 folios.

Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 36cm x 22cm, folding to 36cm x 11 cm.

Condition of original material: Long text with no cover. 36cm x 11cm opening up to 36 x 22 cm Old handmade paper, Darkened through usage, much smudging of the brown ink, though not of the text itself which is legible throughout. One page exists only as a fragment attached to a brown cloth rear cover. Incomplete.

Arrangement: A collection of texts kept in a box within the prayer room of the owner. The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
