དཔར་ཤིང

A carved wooden block for printing images into dough made from roast barley flour (tsampa) for use in tantric chowa rituals. Carved with Tibetan text, probably a mantra, on one side and the six syllable mantra and the twelve animals, the twelve year signs of the Tibetan calendar on the other.

Extent: One wooden dough mould.

Size and dimensions of original material: 44 x 3.8 x I cm.

Condition of original material: Good condition for its age.

Arrangement: Material kept in the household prayer room (not seen).
