A handwritten Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper. In "headed" Tibetan dbu chen (Uchen) script. An explanatory text detailiing how to position deities, lamas and thorma (ritual dough offerings) during rituals..for example which tiers and what direction they should be facing. ༄༅། །བླ་ཚོགས་པ་བང་རིམ་བཞི་ལྡན་ཀྱི་དབུས་སུ་རིལ་བུ་བཞི་དང་རི་ཐོག་ལ་དཔེ་དན།.
Extent: One folded sheet.
Size and dimensions of original material: 30 cm x 24 cm folding to 30 cm x 6 cm.
Condition of original material: Good condition for its age. Outer surfaces darkened through usage.
Arrangement: Texts and ritual objects kept in boxes in the prayer room (not seen). The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
