An untitled woodbock printed Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper, lightly bound into a red cloth cover. In "headed" Tibetan dbu chen (Uchen) script. Not a ritual text but a short sutra (religious text). This is Buddha’s (Sakyamnuni) speech to Norbu Sangpo (Norsang) after he prostrated to him.
Extent: One book consisting of two folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 7 cm x 25 cm.
Condition of original material: Cover very darkened through usage. Both cover and pages stained by damp(?).
Arrangement: Texts and ritual objects kept in boxes in the prayer room (not seen). The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
