A handwritten Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper. Handwritten in "headless" Tibetan dbu med (Ume) script. An instructional astrological text, a manual for calculation / divination ༄༅། །འབྱུང་རྩི་མན་ངག་ཟླ་བའི་འོད་ཟེར་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས་སོ།.
Extent: One book consisting of sixteen folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 32.5 cm x 17 cm, folding to 32.5 x 8.5 cm.
Condition of original material: Paper damage to the outer sheets.
Arrangement: Texts and ritual objects kept in boxes in the prayer room (not seen). The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
