A handwritten Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper. In "headed" Tibetan dbu chen (Uchen) script with some text in "headless" Tibetan dbu med (Ume) script. Lightly stitched together. No title page. Short title found on the right side of page two. An exorcism ritual text. A ritual to entrap, capture, bury or burn malignant spirits, evil forces or ghosts or to subjugate the spirits causing problems to the afflicted person seeking help from the Cho wa. Sri non (Tib. སྲི་ནོན་ or སྲི་གནོན་).
Extent: One book consisting of seven folios with additional loose folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 55 cm x 10cm, folding to 27.5 cm x 10 cm.
Condition of original material: Cover discoloured through age and usage. Pages also stained throughout. Text fully legible. Several loose folios.
Arrangement: Texts and ritual objects kept in boxes in the prayer room (not seen). The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
