An unbound woodblock printed Tibetan medical text (pecha) on handmade paper. in "headed" Tibetan dbu chen (Uchen) script. Entitled: དཔལ་ལྡན་དམག་ཟོར་རྒྱལ་མོའི་སྒོ་ནས་རྣོ་མཐོང་སྒྲུབ་ཚུལ་དེའི་འགྲེལ་བཤད་དང་བཅས་བ་བཞུགས་སོ། A divination (རྣོ་མཐོང) text used by a village amchis (Tibetan doctors) but also by lamas in monasteries. The text is consulted through the female protector deity Palden Lhamo (Shri Devi / Mahakala) This ritual text is used with dice, to indicate which page of the text to consult མོ་ divination དཔལ་ལྡན་དམག་ཟོར་རྒྱལ་མོ One of many names for Palden Lhamo.
Extent: One unbound book consisting of 58 folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 24.5 cm x 8 cm.
Condition of original material: The front page is torn in the top right corner. Staining, marks and discolouration throughout but the text is clear and legible throughout.
Custodial history: A single amchi (medical) divination text inherited from his great grandfather.Arrangement: An individual text kept in the prayer room of the family home.
