དཔེ་ཆ

An unbound Tibetan book (pecha) on handmade paper. A woodblock printed text in "headed" Tibetan dbu chen (Uchen) script. Title is difficult to read in parts but perhaps (Tib. ༄༅། །གསོ་བ་རིག་པའི་བསྟན་བཅོས་སྨན་བླའི་དགོངས་རྒྱན་རྒྱུད་བཞིའི་གསལ་བྱེད་བཻ་ཌཱུར་སྔོན་པོའི་ཕྲེང་བ་ལས་དུམ་བུ་གཉིས་པ་བཤད་པའི་རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་བཤད་ཅས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས་སོ། ། Wylie. gso ba rig pa'i bstan bcos sman bla'i dgongs rgyan rgyud bzhi'i gsal byed bai DUr sngon po'i phreng ba las dum bu gnyis pa bshad pa'i rgyud kyi rnam bshad cas bya ba bzhugs so ) A commentary on the second of the four medical tantras, the explanatory tantra.

Extent: One unbound book consisting of 260 folios.

Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 50 cm x 9 cm.

Condition of original material: The initial pages badly stained through usage.

Arrangement: All material kept in the household prayer room. The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
