དཔེ་ཆ

A woodblock printed Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper. In "headed" Tibetan dbu chen (Uchen) script. A fire ceremony text. A single chapter from a larger volume of text དཔལ་ཆེན་བཀའ་འདུས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ལས། ལས་བཞི་མཆོག་དང་ལྔའི་སྦྱིན་སྲེག་དངོས་གྲུབ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཟ་མ་ཏོག་བཞུགས་སོ།.

Extent: One unbound book consisting of thirty two folios.

Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 38 cm x 8 cm.

Condition of original material: Severe damage to some folios.

Arrangement: All the material was kept in a box in the prayer room (unseen). The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
