A handwritten Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper. In "headless" Tibetan dbu med (Ume) script. An astrological text dealing with calculations, readings and predictions following death. ཤིན་རྩི་གསལ་བའི་མེ་ལོང་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས་སོ། ཤིན་རྩི astrology of death གསལ་བ appearing མེ་ལོང mirror.
Extent: One book consisting of twenty four folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 53 cm x 8 cm, folding to 26.5 cm x 8 cm.
Condition of original material: Text darkened through age and usage. Several damaged pages.
Arrangement: All the material is kept within the prayer room (not seen). The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
