A handwritten unbound Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper. Handwritten in "headless" Tibetan dbu med (Ume) script. A text for a ritual performance to appease nagas through making a ritual offering of a Lud, a dough ransom effigy figure of a person (Tib.གླུད་ Wylie glud), or a thread cross offering (Tib.

Extent: One unbound book consisting of two folios.

Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 41.5 cm x 7 cm.

Condition of original material: Light staining through age and usage. The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
