དཔེ་ཆ

A handwritten unbound Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper. In Tibetan dbu chen (Uchen) script. A Zhi Tro ritual usually undertaken after a death and during the Bardo period.་བཞིས་ཕྲོས་ཡི་དམ་རྟ་གྲིན་ལྷ་ལྔའི་ལས་བྱངས་རྣམས་བཞུགས་སོ། better as: བཞིས་གྲོ་ཡི་དམ་རྟ་གྲིན་ལྷ་ལྔའི་ལས་བྱངས་རྣམས་བཞུགས་སོ། ཞི་ཁྲོ་ means Zhi Tro, the 100 wrathful and peaceful deities ཡི་དམ་རྟ་གྲིན means the protector deity Tamdrin/Hyagryph.

Extent: One unbound book consisting of nine folios.

Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 33.5 cm x 8.5 cm.

Condition of original material: Discolouration through age.

Arrangement: All material is kept in the prayer room. The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
