A handwritten unbound Tibetan text (pecha) on handmade paper. Handwritten in "headless" Tibetan dbu med (Ume) script. A protection ritual for times of difficulty, social breakdown. Connected with the protector figure བཤན་པ་དམར་པོ shenpa marpo. A ritual recommended directly by Guru Rinpoche ལས་བྱེད་བཤན་པ་དམར་པོའི་སྒྲུབ་ཐབས་མེ་་་སྤུ་གྲི་བཞུགས་སོ།.
Extent: One unbound book consisting of four folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Each folio is 35 cm x 6.5 cm.
Condition of original material: Text damaged by being chewed mice. Substantial loss of page and text.
Arrangement: All material is kept in the prayer room. The precise country of origin is unknown. However it is almost certain that the original text was created in Tibet, though the specific material in question may have been copied locally in Spiti (India) at a later date.
