This work Kumaraswamiyam is a collection of jothisha information from various works. It has four divisions as basic part 14 chpters, jataka 23 chapter, Mughurtha 6 chapters and chinthna 11 chapters. Totally there are 54 chapters in poetical and prose form. பல சோதிட நூல்களில் உள்ள செய்திகளையும், பலன்களையும் தொகுத்தும் வகுத்தும் திரட்டியும் எழுதப்பெற்றதே குமாரசாமியம். இந்நூல் மூல காண்டத்தில் 14 படலங்களும், சாதக காண்டத்தில் 23 படங்களும், முகூர்த்த காண்டத்தில் 6 படலங்களும், சிந்தனா காண்டத்தில் 11 படங்களும் ஆக நான்கு காண்டத்தில் 54 படலங்களில் பாடலும் உடைநடையுமாக அமைந்துள்ளது.
