சூத சம்ஹிதை

This work Chuthasankithai is the second sankithai among the six sankithai placed in the Kanda puranam. In this work Saint Agatiya explains the fame of Southern land to Gowthamar. This work is originally written in Sanskrit and translated in to Tamil by the Devarajapillai. It explains the life of chuthamuni in nine chapters. This work has 8 chapters with 481 stanzas. சிவனின் திருமணத்தின்போது அகத்தியர் தெற்கே வந்தார். அப்போது தான் கண்ட தலத்தின் சிறப்பை கௌதமரிடம் சொன்னார். அதை, வியாசமுனிவர் வடமொழியில், ‘சூத சங்கிதை’ என்ற பெயரில் எழுதினார். கந்த புராணத்தில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ள ஆறு சங்கிதைகளில் இரண்டாவது சங்கிதையாக சூத சங்கிதை இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது. வடமொழி சூத சங்கிதையைத் தமிழில் தேவராச பிள்ளை அவர்கள் எழுதியுள்ளார். முக்தி காண்டத்தில் ஒன்பது அத்தியாயங்கள் சூத முனிவரின் வரலாற்றை உரைப்பதாக இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. இந்நூலில் 8 அத்தியாயங்களில் 481 பாடல்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.
