கந்தபுராணம்

This work Kantha puranam is the translation of six Kandas of Sivarakashiya in Sankara samhita of Skantha puranam, which is one among the eighteen puranas in Sanskrit literature. This manuscript has upto 46th stanzas of Thikvjaya padalam. Leaf nos.1-25, 32-41, 49, 50, 52, 61, 62, 66, 81-95, 149, 150, 159, 162, 163, 187, 200 and 202 are missing. வடமொழி பதினெண் புராணங்களுள் ஸ்கந்த புராணத்தின் சங்கர சங்கிதையில் உள்ள சிவரகசிய காண்டத்தில் வரும் முதல் ஆறு காண்டங்களான உற்பத்தி காண்டம், அசுர காண்டம், மகேந்திர காண்டம், யுத்த காண்டம், தேவ காண்டம், தட்ச காண்டம் ஆகிய காண்டங்களின் தமிழ் மொழிபெயர்ப்பே கந்த புராணம். இது முருகப்பெருமானின் வரலாற்றை விவரிக்கிறது. இச்சுவடியில் திக்குவிசய படலத்தின் 46ஆவது பாடல் வரை இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது. ஏட்டெண் 1-25, 32-41, 49, 50, 52, 61, 62, 66, 81-95, 149, 150, 159, 162, 163, 186, 187, 200, 202 ஆகிய ஏடுகள் இல்லை.
