This manuscript Harichandra Purana is the life history of king Harichandra, who ruled Ayothi of Kosala nadu. It is a Tamil translation of Sanskrit work in 10 heading with 1189 stanzas. Leaf no.105 is missing. இந்தியாவின் வடபகுதியில் கோசல நாட்டில் அயோத்தி மாநகரை ஆண்ட அரிச்சந்திரனின் வரலாற்றை எடுத்துரைக்கும் நூலே அரிச்சந்திர புராணம். வடமொழி நூலைத் தழுவி தமிழில் எழுதப்பெற்ற இப்புராணம் விவாக காண்டம், இந்திர காண்டம், வஞ்சனைக் காண்டம், வேட்டஞ்செய் காண்டம், சூழ்வினைக் காண்டம், நகர் நீங்கிய காண்டம், காசி காண்டம், மயான காண்டம், மீட்சிக் காண்டம், உத்தர காண்டம் என்னும் பத்துக் காண்டங்களைக் கொண்டது. இதில் 1189 பாடல்கள் உள்ளன. ஏட்டெண் 105ஆம் ஏடு இல்லை.
