சரப புராணம்

This work Saraba puranam dealt about an avatar of Lord Siva in the form of Narashima and the bird Sarabam. Author of the work is Thirumali natha, who lived in sixteenthe century. It has seven chapters. Leaf nos. 95, 110, 116, 117 are missing and there is dublication of leaf no 112. சரப புராணம் என்பது சரபம் என்னும் பறவை உருவம் கொண்டு  சிவபெருமான் நரசிங்க உருவம் கொண்ட திருமாலை அடக்கிய வடமொழிப் புராணக் கதையைத் தமிழில் கூறும் நூல். 16 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் முற்பகுதியில் திருமலைநாதர் என்பவரால் இது இயற்றப்பட்டது. சரப புராணம் 431 பாடல்கள் கொண்டது. பாயிரம், நரசிங்க உற்பத்திச் சருக்கம், கடவுளர் முறையீடு சருக்கம், வீரபத்திரன் எழுச்சி, அறிவுறுத்திய சருக்கம், சலந்தரன் வதைச் சருக்கம், சக்கரம் பெற்ற சருக்கம், நரசிங்கர் வதை சருக்கம் என ஏழு சருக்கங்களைக் கொண்டது. ஏட்டெண் 95, 110, 116, 117 ஆகிய ஏடுகள் இல்லை. 112ஆம் ஏடு இருமுறை உள்ளது.
