பிரம்மோத்தர காண்டம்

This Manuscript Pramothra kandam written by Varathunga Pandian in 16th century dealt with stories of Lord Siva. This work is third part of Pramanda puranam, which is the third part of KandaPuranam. This work was released in the Madurai Tamilsangam. This work has 22 chapters. The work starts with the leaf no.173 and ends with the leaf no.271. கி.பி.16 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டு அரசன் வரதுங்கராம பாண்டியனால் பாடப்பட்டது பிரமோத்தர காண்டம். சிவ புண்ணியக் கதைகளைக் கூறும் நூல் இது. வடமொழியிலுள்ள கந்தபுராணத்தில் மூன்றாம் பிரிவு பிரமாண்ட புராணம். இந்த மூன்றாம் பிரிவின் மூன்றாவது பகுதியே பிரமோத்தர காண்டம். தமிழ்நூல் பிரமோத்தர காண்டம் வடமொழி நூலாகிய பிரமோத்தர காண்டம் என்னும் நூலின் மொழிபெயர்ப்பு. நூலாசிரியர் இதனை மதுரைத் தமிழ்ச்சங்கத்தில், அறுகால் பீடத்தில் அரங்கேற்றினார். இந்நூலில் 22 அத்தியாயங்கள் உள்ளன. ஏட்டெண் 173இல் தொடங்கி 271இல் முடிகிறது.
