திருப்புகழ்

This work Thiruppugazh is bakthi literature, which descripts the fame of lord Muruga. Author of the work is Arunagirinathar. It has 1307 stanzas, in which 1088 has different lliterary metre. People, who follow Lord Muruga recites the songs every day. Leaf nos. 33,34, and 36 are missing. திருப்புகழ் என்பது முருகக் கடவுள் மீது அருணகிரிநாதர் இயற்றிய ஒரு பக்தி நூல். திருப்புகழில் 1307 இசைப்பாடல்கள் உள்ளன. இவற்றுள் 1088க்கும் மேற்பட்ட சந்த வேறுபாடுகள் உள்ளன என்று கணித்திருக்கிறார்கள். திருப்புகழை  தேவாரம்,  திருவாசகம் போல் மந்திர நூலாகவும், நாள்தோறும் இறைவனைப் போற்றிப் புகழ்பாடும் நூலாகவும், முருகன் மீது பக்தி கொண்டோர் பின்பற்றும் நூலாகவும் கொள்கின்றனர். திருப்புகழிலுள்ள  இசைத்தாளங்கள்  இசை நூல்களிலடங்காத தனித்தன்மை பெற்றவை. 33, 34,36ஆம் ஏடுகள் இல்லை.
