This manuscript Soolai Nithanam has 76 songs dealt with preparation of medicines and character of eighteen soolai’s such as sura soolai, ankku soolai, aththirasura soolai, vadha soolai, vadha suronitha soolai etc. சுர சூலை, அக்கு சூலை, அத்திரசுர சூலை, வாத சூலை, வாத சுரோனித சூலை, வாதநீர்க்குத்து வாத வாய்வு சூலை, பித்த சூலை, மூலபாண்டு சூலை, விசபித்த சூலை, வாதபாண்டு சூலை, பித்த பாண்டு சூலை போன்ற பதினெட்டு சூலையின் குணம் பற்றியும் அவை பிறக்கும் குணம் பற்றியும் 76 பாடல்களில் எடுத்துரைப்பதே சூலை நிதானம் ஆகும்.
