வர்ம சூத்திரம்

This manuscript is dealt with Varma art. Varma art is based on siddha medicine and it is a science of nerves. Varma Art is divided in to four divisions as padu varma, thodu varma, thattu varma and nokku vamra. In a human body has 37 points in head,13 points in Chest, 15 points in front side body, 10 in the back, 9 in the front hand, 8 in the back hand, 19 in front of leg, 13 back of the leg, as 132 points in the body. Diseases can be cured by pressing these points. This work explains how to press the points. வர்மக்கலை என்பது உடலின் முக்கிய நாடிகள், நரம்புகள் அல்லது புள்ளிகள் பற்றிய அறிவை மையமாகக் கொண்ட ஒரு தற்காப்புக் கலை. இக்கலை தமிழில் தோன்றிய ஒன்று. வர்ம சூத்திரம் எனப்படும் தமிழ் மருத்துவ அறிவியலை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டது. வர்மக்கலையை படு வர்மம், தொடு வர்மம், தட்டு வர்மம், நோக்கு வர்மம் என்று நான்காகப் பிரிப்பர். தலைப்பகுதியில் 37, நெஞ்சுப் பகுதியில் 13, உடலின் முன் பகுதியில் 15, முதுகுப் பகுதியில் 10, கைகளின் முன் பக்கத்தில் 9, கைகளின் பின் பக்கத்தில் 8, கால்களின் முன்பக்கத்தில் 19, கால்களின் பின்பக்கத்தில் 13, கீழ்முதுகுப் பகுதியில் 8 என உடம்பின் 132 இடங்களில் வர்மப் புள்ளிகள் உள்ளன. இப்புள்ளிகளை எந்த வகையான நோய்க்கு எங்கு எவ்வாறு தொடவேண்டும் என்பது பற்றிக் கூறுவதே இச்சுவடி.
