கூர்ம புராணம்

This Manuscript explains the grace of Lord Siva and the Koormavathara of Lord Vishnu. It has two chapters namely Poorvakanda and Uttharakanda in 94 chapters. Following leaf nos 224, 242-244 are missing. திருமால் கூர்ம அவதாரம் எடுத்து சிவனடைய பெருமையை மக்களுக்கு உரைத்த செய்தியை கூர்ம புராணம் கூறுகிறது. பூர்வ காண்டம், உத்திர காண்டம் என இரு பகுதிகளாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கூர்ம அவதாரம் எடுத்த திருமால், இந்திரத்துய்மனுக்கும் மற்ற முனிவர்களக்கும் உபதேசித்த புராணமாகும். சிவனது வீரச் செயல்கள், சிவ வழிபாட்டுக் கிரியைகக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளன. இது 94 அத்தியாயங்களாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டு திருமாலின் இரண்டாவது அவதாரமான கூர்மமாக (ஆமை) அவதாரம் எடுத்து பாற்கடலில் இருந்த அமிர்தத்தை தேவர்களுக்கும் மக்களுக்கும் வழங்கப்பெற்ற கதையை உணர்த்துவது. 224, 242-244ஆம் ஏடுகள் இல்லை.
