This work Soodamani Nigantu of Mandalapurudar is a dictionary belongs to 16th century. it has 12 chapters dealt with names of Deva’s, names of human, names of animals, names of trees, names of places etc in 1197 sutras with explanation of 11,000 words. This manuscript has twelfth chapter with 70 stanzas. சூடாமணி நிகண்டு என்னும் நூல் கி.பி. 16 ஆம் நூற்றண்டில் வாழ்ந்த மண்டலபுருடர் என்னும் சமணரால் இயற்றப்பட்டது. இந்நிகண்டு ஆசிரியர் மண்டலபுருடர் அவர்கள் வீரமண்டல புருடர் என்றும் அழைக்கப்பட்டார். இந்நூல் 12 பிரிவுகளாக பிரிக்கப்பட்டு விருத்தப்பாவால் ஆன நூல்ஆகும். சூடாமணி நிகண்டுவில் உள்ள பெயர்த் தொகுதிகள்:- தேவப் பெயர், மக்கள்பெயர், விலங்கின் பெயர், மரப்பெயர், இடப்பெயர், பல்பொருட் பெயர், செயற்கைவடிவப் பெயர், பண்புபற்றிய பெயர், செயல்பற்றிய பெயர், ஒலிபற்றிய பெயர். இதில் 1197 சூத்திரங்களில் 11,000 சொற்களுக்கு விளக்கம் தரப்பட்டுள்ளது. இச்சுவடி சூடாமணி நிகண்டின் 2 முதல் 6 தொகுதிகள் எடுத்துரைக்கிறது. ஏட்டெண் 18இல் நூல் தொடங்குகிறது.
