This work Harichandra Purana is the life history of king Harichandra, who ruled Ayothi of Kosala nadu. It is a Tamil translation of Sanskrit work in 10 chapters with 1189 stanzas. This manuscript has only 115 stanzas. இந்தியாவின் வடபகுதியில் கோசல நாட்டில் அயோத்தி மாநகரை ஆண்ட அரிச்சந்திரனின் வரலாற்றை எடுத்துரைக்கும் நூலே அரிச்சந்திர புராணம். வடமொழி நூலைத் தழுவி தமிழில் எழுதப்பெற்ற இப்புராணம் விவாக காண்டம், இந்திர காண்டம், வஞ்சனைக் காண்டம், வேட்டஞ்செய் காண்டம், சூழ்வினைக் காண்டம், நகர் நீங்கிய காண்டம், காசி காண்டம், மயான காண்டம், மீட்சிக் காண்டம், உத்தர காண்டம் என்னும் பத்துக் காண்டங்கள் 1189 பாடல்களால் ஆனது. இச்சுவடியில் 115 பாடல்கள் அமைந்துள்ளன.
