கந்த புராணம்

This manuscript Kantha Puranam dealt with the avatar of Lord Muruga and consists of six chapters (Kanda). This work is based on the Sanskrit work Siva Rakasya of Skantha Puranam. வடமொழி பதினெண் புராணங்களுள் ஸ்கந்த புராணத்தின் சங்கர சங்கிதையில் உள்ள சிவரகசிய காண்டத்தில் வரும் முதல் ஆறு காண்டங்களான உற்பத்தி காண்டம், அசுர காண்டம், மகேந்திர காண்டம், யுத்த காண்டம், தேவ காண்டம், தட்ச காண்டம் ஆகிய காண்டங்களின் தமிழ் மொழிபெயர்ப்பே கந்த புராணம். இது முருகப்பெருமானின் வரலாற்றை விவரிக்கிறது.
