This register is the second volume of weather data recorded at Boyden. No title is written on the cover or spine. The volume gives daily weather information from 1928 August 01 to 1933 December 31. For each day, the minimum and maximum temperatures are recorded, along with a narrative description of the day and night conditions, a code for the "character" of each day, another for the "value" of each night, and who the observer was. Each month is given a summary, giving descriptive statistics, and sometimes comparing these with values from Arequipa. There is also a summary of "work with telescopes", listing for each instrument in use, the numbers of photographic plates exposed and the total observing hours. It is interesting to note that at the start of the period cover, only two telescopes were working, while at the end of the period, seven instruments were operational. A summary comparison is given between the observing conditions (in terms of "value of night") at Arequipa (Peru) and Mazelspoort (South Africa). Data for Arequipa covers the period 1924 January to 1926 November, and for Mazelspoort from 1927 September to 1933 December. The binding of the book is in poor condition, and a page is loose. n/a.
