Title on cover front: "24-inch / Variables and Miscellenea / Transferred to Ephem. book No 4/1940". This logbook details 4 photographic programs with the 24-inch Bruce Doublet telescope. For each program, basic instructions are given, followed by a list of the field numbers and their plate centres. Many of these entries are followed by pencilled-in plate numbers, as the fields are photographed. These programs are the "Low Latitude Bruce Programme" (MWF), the "High Latitude Bruce Programme" (HLF), and two on the Magellanic Clouds (1934 June to 1937 January). The MWF was initially called the "Important Milky Way Variable Fields" and then became the "Low Latitude Bruce Programme", with fields designated as MWF (1934 June to 1938 January). The HLF program was noted as having "precedence over the Low Latitude Programme". The programme describes one field as "Very urgent region" (1935 January 10 to 1939 May 31). All pages are crossed out in red. A note, initialled by John S. Paraskevopoulos, reads: "transferred to Eph book 4/1940". Book in poor condition. n/a. Extent: 1 volume containing 12 pages.
