This register contains the earliest weather data recorded at Boyden, very shortly after the site was established. Almost a year's records are contained in it, after which a second register book was used. From the cover, the book covers weather observations from 1927 August 15 to 1928 July 31. For each day, the minimum and maximum temperatures are recorded, along with a narrative description of the day and night conditions, a code for the "character" of each day, another for the "value" of each night, and who the observer was. Each month is given a summary, giving descriptive statistics, and comparing these with values from Arequipa. There is also a summary of "work with telescopes", listing for each instrument in use, the numbers of photographic plates exposed and the total observing hours. Inserted loose at the back of the book is a reprint from the Irish Astronomical Journal (vol. 14, no. 7/8, Sep-Dec 1980) titled "Weather at Boyden Observatory from 1952 to 1980". n/a.
