One page bears the stamp of "THE EAST LONDON CLUB". Two essays are part of the collection: "The Stars / part (1)", written for the layman about star gazing (5 pages) and "Sirius", also written for the layman, describing various traditional views of the star and discussing the discovery of the companion star Sirius B (16 pages).
