The narratives of Daval

This is a notebook containing the plot lines of various episodes that are narrated in the Daval tradition of Rajasthan. The stories outlined in this collection include 'Bhimavali' and 'Karnakatha' which are also in this collection in their entirety among the transcripts of recordings in the EAP1153/1/3 section. Daval is a storytelling genre which borrows characters from the Mahabharata epic but creates further narratives following from the culmination of the canonical storyline. Physical characteristics: An old notebook with handwritten text in blue and black ink. The pages have become brittle and are prone to breaking. All pages show discolouration.
