[Personal diaries and notes of Komal Kothari]

This is a notebook containing notes and personal writings of Komal Kothari. The first part of the notebook contains notes on a dissertation by CT Paul titled The Tribal Economyof the Hill Tribes of Kerala. The second part contains extensive notes and sketches of Rajasthani instruments like Narh, Nissan, Ghan, Dholak and wind instruments. Following this are notes on classification of musical instruments according to Sybil Marcuse's A Survey of Musical Instruments and Anthony Baine's The Oxford companion to Musical Instruments. These notes also contain respective comparisons to Rajasthani instruments as well. Custodial history: Collection of Komal Kothari, housed at Rupayan Sansthan.
