[Personal diaries and notes of Komal Kothari]

This is a notebook containing notes and personal writings of Komal Kothari. The notebook has been used as a daily journal documenting a visit to the Ramdevra fair in Jaisalmer. Notes on a speech by Kothari addressing a conference on reviving folk tales and arts followed by notes on all the other speakers of the conference. Mention of a committee meeting in delhi with Habib Tanvir, Deena Pathak, Sneh Sanyal, Shanta Gandhi etc. on Folk Drama Workshops. Notes on a lecture of A. Basham at Jodhpur University along with Kothari's personal comments. One entry documents Shanta Gandhi's visit to Rupayan Sansthan at Borunda. The rest of the notebook contains, transcripts of recorded songs, lists of photos and artists, rough calculations of costs of recordings and photography and short notes on Langas, Mand and Kamaycha. A separate A4 sheet of paper containing a speech/paper on the relationship of Akademi with folk artists, the situation of folk arts and brief introductions of forms along with suggestions on remuneration and competitions.
