[Personal diaries and notes of Komal Kothari]

This is a notebook containing notes and personal writings of Komal Kothari. Most of the notebook is dedicated to field notes and research on Jewellery making and wearing in various regions and communities of Rajasthan. The initial pages focus on the Goldsmith caste Nihariya and its proponent Shyamji Nihariya. Notes on raw material required in the process of forging jewellery etc. are documented. The notebook also contains lists of various jewellery objects, their cost price and selling price. The notebook also documents the jewellery practices among the Meghwal community in Padlinagar and Khetigarh. The last pages contain notes taken during an Intach meeting on saving the 'folk' heritage and data on the logistics of conducting workshops in schools. The last page contains an entry from 24th Aug 1988 about a visit to Barnawa to see Taziah along with Carol Henderson, Kuldeep Kothari and others.
