This is a diary containing mostly handwritten transcripts of various songs of various communities like Kalbeliya, Kamar and individual singers like Gazi Khan and Teejan Bai of Rajasthan. In the later sections of the diary are some sketches of musical instruments made by Kothari and explanations and specificities of those instruments mentioned on the side in brief. The diary also contains some random notes including vague itineraries of Kothari's trips and the recordings that he has listened to and recorded at various locations.
