Teratali dance performance

This file contains photographs of a Teratali dance performance by a group comprising female dancers and accomanying musicians, in an outdoor setting during day time. Teratali is a ritual-dance performance of the Kamad community of Rajasthan. Female dancers perform by striking thirteen pairs of Manjira cymbals tied to different parts of their body. The dancers also use a sword and earthen pots as props during the performance. Accompanying musicians mostly play the Tandura, a string instrument, Dholak, a barrel-shaped drum and Manjira cymbals.
