The photographs grouped within this file is the documentation of a performance of the Pabuji Katha, epic of Pabuji. Pabuji Ke Mate, a pair of clay pots, is a common accompaniment used by the priest-musicians during the performance. Goatskin is used to cover the mouths of the Matas. The two Matas, pots are tuned to be higher and lower. The Mata, clay pots, referred to as Pabuji ke Mate or pabuji ke Nisan, played mainly by the Bhil Nayak of Jodhpur and Bikaner region, who perform epic of Pabuji.
