Palm leaf manuscript of the history of the relics buried in the Shwedagon Pagoda in Rangoon.

Extent: 2 bundles of palm leaf mansucripts, total of approximately 112 faces.

Condition of original material: Stylus-inscribed palm leaf manuscript with no or minimal ink rubbed into etchings. Legible and good order. Features some unusual spacing between words. Letters from obverse show through on any given face on some leaves. Edges of leaves slightly frayed, suggesting age.

Custodial history: Scribe is possibly from Burma, given his name.
