Collection of Mandinka Ajami Poems

Transliterated title: Mandinkakaŋ Suukuwoolu.

Contains a collection of several short poems. One poem discusses the rituals to perform when settling in a new place or house and also gives tribute to a deceased friend. In another poem, Seydi Souane (the father of the owner of the documents) expresses his regret for not being able to perform pilgrimage to Mecca and wishes that his son might be able to perform it for him one day. Other documents celebrate the virtues of Mandinka elders (including their legendary respect and courtesy) and praise Prophet Muḥammad.

Custodial history: The current owner wrote documents 1 and 4, and received documents 2 and 3 from his father and young brother (Ibrahima Kalilou Souane).
