The text deals with the biography of Śrī Caitanya. The text is mainly written in Bengali, but quotes a large number of Sanskrit texts (mainy poetry). It also includes three commentaries to the sanskrit parts of the text and mentions them as: Bhāvārthadīpikā, Kramasandarbha and Cakravarti. This is the first Khaṇḍa of three Khaṇḍas of the text.
